Barbara learned how to use breathing to manage her symptoms and anxiety.
Transcript
I learned most of what I know from respiratory rehab. I have attended three or four sessions of respiratory rehab, especially during COVID. Since everything was virtual it was easier to join, and so different people teach you different things and the last time that I was in rehab they taught me to actually breathe. Somebody actually sat with me and taught me to breathe and that has been the best – the best thing since sliced bread because once you can learn to master the breath, you are in control because it staves off anxiety and it helps you to know that you can control this. You’ve been here before. You’ve done this before. You know how to do it and you’re far more powerful than your brain is giving you credit for.
